Celebrate: Happy Halloween & Freebies

Today I'm celebrating:

1) A great book!  Although I love horror, I'm not much into zombie books.  However, for Halloween I was given Monster Nation by David Wellington -- and I love it!  It's got some very original ideas and the author displays his MFA in Creative Writing with excellent prose but no literary pretentiousness.  Note: His novels were originally serialized on his blog and got so much attention a publisher approached him with a deal. Sweet!
2) I may be slowing down a bit and heading in a different direction with my writing - but I'm happier for it and less stressed. :)
3) Happy Halloween!! I hope everyone has a safe, fun, and fabulous time!

What are you doing on Halloween?

This will be just about the first year I can remember where I don't have to shuttle one kid or another into the nearby Halloween hot spot, and I'm kind of grateful! (My youngest has a big cross country meet tomorrow and is giving it a miss)

Do they 'do' Halloween in Egypt?

I have never enjoyed ring frightened although, I know others like the thrill. I have, though, always enjoyed Halloween because it has always been fun.

I will be cutting out pumpkins, giving out candy and pretzels and then visiting my grandchildren.

Hooray for less stress!

To celebrate this special day, I'll be hollowing pumpkins, watching creepy films, and eating all the sweets before Trick or Treaters arrive.

Happy Halloween! ♥

Love the new freebie page! Glad you're less stressed - may the words flow as easily too. I was involuntarily volunteered to head-up a school party today and afterwards, we're spending the evening at the spooky-Halloween zoo.

Hi Lexa! Thanks for all the wonderful freebies you offer! I love coming to your site! I'm going to have to include it in my weekly celebrations!!

I'm about two thirds done with Soul Cutter, but am about to start NaNo. I'm going to try finishing it within the next few days so I can get in a review while the book will still be fresh in my memory.

Thanks for being a wonderful blog buddy. I appreciate the time you take visiting my blogs and encouraging me! Hugs. Eva

Happy, After Day Halloween. My hubby and I went out which we haven't done in years. I was Goo from Gumby as the sexy pussy cat and devil were sadly already taken (I wish a zombie would eat all those sexy wannabee's)
