Celebrate: Too Relaxed? & Giveaways

An egg ...  or meee?!

I was sleeping very comfortably, somehow not realizing it was Thursday and I'd forgotten to do a Celebrate post. But I accidentally woke up in the wee hours and whipped this off!

I've had a good, relaxed week, and I think I've come up with the character arc I so desperately need for my next novel. (I can't write a character if I have no idea what that character's arc is.)  So yay for me and Paris Underworld! Now I just have to finish Coldest Night ...

Have you ever lost track of what day it was, especially when you have days off work?

Happy Memorial Day!

Celebrate: Sour Stomach Cure & Giveaways

Last Saturday, I apparently ate something that was past its expire date and full of germs (bacteria? microbes? ALIENS??). It freaked out my stomach. The result was ... icky. Really, really icky, like I became best friends with a bucket for a couple of days there.

Luckily, my bucket and I parted ways about midweek. During my war with my stomach, only one thing went down and stayed. My sour stomach cure was:

Yes, vanilla ice cream. The cold and creamy consistency did a lot to settle my stomach. My husband said I was being childish, but he went to the store and got more when I asked. (And when it comes to being sick, aren't most of us just big babies anyway?)

So this week, I'm celebrating Vanilla Ice Cream!

Do you have a special "cure" when you get sick that might sound strange to others?

Celebrate: Snowman Tour & Giveaways

This week I'm celebrating generous authors and reviewers:

1) I was a Guest Author at Mary Ann Poll's Facebook book release party, met a bunch of fun people, and at the end I was one of the lucky ones who'd won an ebook from her.  Yay!
2) On Twitter, a book-blogger tweeted me about reviewing BLOODWALKER. However, he wanted an audiobook and I'd given away the promo codes already. Luckily, the book's narrator was linked into our tweets and he popped up saying he had a code for it. So the book-blogger got a code for the audiobook, and the narrator got my gratitude! Double yay!

Have you ever asked for a book or a product for free from a stranger in exchange for a review?

Celebrate: Indiana Jane & Giveaways

This week I'm celebrating -- throwing stuff away!

As you know if you've been reading my posts, I've been shamelessly whining about Spring Cleaning for some weeks. Now that I've finally finished cleaning (YAY!), I realize my writing room is like a garage (or attic). It has a ton of boxes filled with the leftovers from the 2 careers I had before I became a writer (dancer & singer), plus all those things I rarely use (like a sewing machine or suitcases) or never use (like a VHS player and tapes or curtain rods from a different apartment).

My writing space is half the size it should be because of boxes, and I'm wedged into a little corner.

Time to go through everything and get rid of as much as possible!

Once I began to organize and decide what to keep, what to giveaway, and what to throw away, I started to feel as if the box stacks grew to gigantic proportions. Soon I might become Indiana Jane and stumble across the Arc of the Covenant!

Using my lazy, snail-speed slow-but-steady approach to work, I hope to be done in a few weeks.

But if you don't hear from me soon, I may be trapped under the pile.

Send help!

Do you have a room that's a catchall for all those things you don't know where to put?
