A Day at the Spa
I need a spa day!
This week I'm celebrating:
1) Release activities are cranking up and I'm falling behind on my to-do list. Ack! However, I'm still managing to keep promises I made to post other writers' releases or cover reveals -- like the one below for Sheri Larsen!
2) While I'm being good with doing things for others, I'm struggling to write my own guest posts and interviews (those things are harder than they look!). But at least if I let the blog owners know I'll be late, they're very gracious in granting me more time.
3) My Thunderclap is fully supported! I'm so grateful to everyone who signed up. I wouldn't be anywhere with all this release stuff if it weren't for your generous help. Thank you!
Cover Reveal
and Giveaway!
(Book One: The URD Saga)
by S.A. Larsen
Release Date: October 10, 2016
Blurb:Forget having a lively after school social life, Ebony Charmed is fighting to keep the entire Afterlife alive.
Ebony’s less-than-average spirit tracking abilities are ruining more than sixth grade at Motley Junior High: School for the Psychically & Celestially gifted. Her parents argue so much her dad moved out. And, even though he’s scared of his own shadow and insists on bringing his slimy, legless lizard everywhere they go, Ebony wouldn’t survive without her best friend, Fleishman.
When Ebony’s Deadly Creatures & Relics’ project goes missing, she learns her missing project is one of the keys to saving the spirit world. Now Ebony and Fleishman must battle beasts from Norse Mythology to retrieve her project before spirits are lost, the Well of Urd dries up, and Ebony loses all hope of reuniting her family. But someone lies in wait, and he has other plans...including creating a new world of spirits without them in it.
Motley Education has been aligned with Core Standards for grades 4-7. A guide will be available on the author’s website to download for FREE after the book’s release date.
S.A. LARSEN is the author of Motley Education, the first book in a middle grade fantasy-adventure series. Her work has appeared in numerous local publications and young adult anthologies Gears of Brass and Under A Brass Moon by Curiosity Quills Press. Look for her debut young adult novel, Marked Beauty, set for release in 2017. Find her in the land of lobsters, snowy winters, and the occasional Eh’ya with her husband of over twenty years, four children, a playful pooch, and two kittens.

I could so do with a spa day too :) Just do the best you can, it will all come together in the end.
Congrats Larsen. Your book baby sounds glorious! Falling behind can be rough Lexa but you are still moving forward so yay! Also glad to see that your Thunderclap is fully supported. Happy to help and enjoy your weekend ladies.
That dog looks like it's really enjoying its spa day :-) All the activities related to a release must be mind boggling. Hang in there, I'm sure it will all come together. Congrats to SA Larsen on her release!
Many congrats to Sheri! That cover is amazing, wow. And good luck figuring out how to keep up with your to-do list, Lexa! It's way too easy to fall behind sometimes...
My dog is the sort that attacks the vacuum anytime, anywhere--she'd never allow that sort of thing. Congrats to S.A., and hang in there, Lexa! Enjoy your weekend!
I know how hard setting up blog posts for a release can be. I'd love to have you on my blog, Lexa!
Congrats to Sheri. Her book looks and sounds amazing!!
Good luck keeping on schedule. Congrats to Sheri on her awesome cover.
Great cover, Sheri!
Don't miss your schedule - I'll have to send an army of Ninjas after you if you do.
Love that doggie! He/she knows how to have a spa day. Now someone needs to support you and say..."You can do it." You can do it so never fear because you do have support and you good nature to help out others will reward you.
I know what you mean about composing good guest blogs. They take forever!
You can do it. Two more weeks!
Ha, ha, love the spa doggie! I know how hard it is to keep up with the to-do list. Writing all those guest posts is a lot more work and takes a lot more time than you might expect. Good luck with it! And congrats to Sheri on her upcoming release! Very intriguing cover!
It's always so much easier to do things for other people's releases but so hard to do things for our own. I have that same problem.
I could so use a spa day right now! Good luck with all your guest posts and interviews :)
Is that a Corgi having a spa day? Those tiny legs are a dead give-a-way.
Good luck getting all your posts written (and trying to squeeze in a spa day).
Yay for Sheri! That cover is fantastic. And good luck to you on getting your posts and everything else done. I know you will totally rock your release tour!
Congrats to Sheri! I love the cover and the blurb sounds great!
Good luck on getting everything done and caught up. With Thunderclap filled, that's one thing chalked up. I'm sure it will go great!
Congratulations, Sheri. Your cover is lovely. Best wishes on your book and promotions.
One foot in front of the other, one thing at a time, you can get it all done, just don't panic!
As a blog owner myself, I tell my interviewees/guest posters that there's no rush. I post when I please and the world doesn't come to an end. I'm sure your blog owners will understand. Now, go have that spa day.
I want a spa treatment too. Looks so nice.
Thanks for mentioning my giveaway.
Sheri's novel sounds great. Can't wait to read it.
And, you can do it. You're almost there.
Lexa, you certainly are a busy gal. I love the funny animal gif! I may have to share this on my Friday Sillies. If I do I'll be sure to give you credit. :) Thanks for hosting the fun. Can you believe it, the first day of fall is this coming week?!
Don't worry about that to-do list. It'll all get done eventually. Love tghe title of 'Motley Education'.
Congrats Sheri -- love the cover!
Lexa -- I agree about guest posts. They can be tough to write. We are in the same busy phase! Thanks for including my giveaway on your list. xo
So happy for Sheri, and wow! What a fab cover!
Congratulations, Larson! Lexa, thinking of you and wishing you huge success on your new book!
Did someone say SPA! Let me grab my spa bag and I'll meet you at the curb.
Lots of great things going on here today. Books and gifts and new covers! Congrats to all.
I need a spa day too! You're doing a lot; falling a tad behind is bound to happen. But it's such happy work! :)
Thanks for posting these offers every week.
Sorry you're buried, but you're almost there. SO excited for your upcoming release.
Congrats, Sheri!
A spa day sounds great to me! I hope you get all your guest posts done. And congrats to S.A. Larsen!
That dog in the GIF is looking way too happy. I suspect I would feel the same way. There are just not enough hours in the day. I certainly feel your pressure.
I'm overwhelmed! Thank you for all the book love, everyone! And to you Lexa - you are the best!
