Celebrate: Julie's Baby Moo & Giveaways

I'm delighted to announce that Celebrate's own
Julie Flanders is releasing her very first Picture Book!

Book blurb:

Baby Moo has a dream. He wants to travel the world and sing on the stage of the Sydney Opera House! While he loves his home at Sunrise Sanctuary, it hasn’t been the same since a piglet named Nathan showed up and stole all the attention away from Moo. Jealous of the new baby, Moo decides now is the time to make his escape and pursue his dream.

But the world outside the sanctuary gates is not quite the fun and exciting place Moo imagined, and he quickly finds himself in big trouble. Moo's friends Missy the dog and Ruthie the cat rush to help him, and land in some trouble of their own.

Lost and frightened, Moo and his friends must rely on each other to find their way back home. Will they ever see Sunrise again?

BUY LINKS:   AMAZON    BARNES&NOBLE

Julie Flanders will donate $1 to Sunrise Sanctuary, home to Baby Moo and numerous other rescued animals, for each copy sold in September.

CONGRATULATIONS TO JULIE AND BABY MOO!

Do you still remember your favorite picture book as a child? (I seem to remember my favorite was about fuzzy little squirrels. LOL!)

Congratulations on the new release, Julie! Looks like a gorgeous book. My favorite picture book when I was a kid was about three highwaymen. I can't remember what it was called, but it had really distinctive illustrations - lino-cut prints, if i remember correctly.

Congrats, Julie, looks great!

Can't remember my favorite pic book as a kid; can't even remember my favorite when I was reading to my own kids, there are so many good ones out there!

I can't remember a favorite picture book as a kid, which is a bit concerning. I wonder why none stand out to me? I definitely remember the chapter books I read, but not the picture ones. Have a fantastic weekend!

Julie's book looks so cute.

My first picture book was actually an adult book. It was a guide to all of the animals, birds, inscts, ect. in N. America. My mother said that by the time I was two, I could name every single one by the illustration. (And yes, I still have that book.)

Congrats to Julie! That cover is so cute! One of my favorite picture books had lots of farm animals. Since I grew up on a farm, it was the perfect book for me.

My favorite picture book was one I read over and over to our son when he was small---"Where the Wild Things Are."

Lexa, I don't remember picture books in my home. The only books I recall my folks buying for us kids were the Picture Bible Stories. We loved looking at the illustrated accounts of the most popular stories from the Bible. We had tons of books for our kids, though. Many of those not only became their favorites but mine, too. Congrats to Julie on her newest published picture book! Have a good weekend, my friend!

Congrats on the book and being showcased here. Moo sounds so cute and i bet the cat and dog really do help and they all become fast friends. My favourite picture book was actually the encyclopedia of art...yup I was a strange gal who loved to look at the art works and I was about 5 years old. I also did have a picture book on the Brother's Grimm

Julie's book sounds like fun. I don't recall picture books from my childhood. See, they have to be read to you first and English was not my parents' first language, so they just got us whatever books we fancied. But I do recall browsing through tiny Beatrix Potter books at the library. And for my eighth birthday I received a lavishly illustrated copy of The Wizard Of Oz, which I read and lived - wish I could find it!

I have been seeing Julie's book around and wish her the best of luck! I recall reading all kinds of picture books when I was little. I loved the beautiful images and the words that went with them. :)

Congrats, Julie! I don't remember the name of my favorite picture book, but it was about a bunch of siblings who went to all sorts of places to try to build their own house. Have a great week!

I can't remember my favourite children's book, but I do remember the first adult novel I read (before I was officially an adult)...Stephen King's Christine. I also know there are many very clever children's picture books around. Most recently I bought Frog on a Log? by Kes Gray for my stepson. He turned his nose up at it at first, but when he started school...it quickly became one of his favourites.
