Celebrate: Cloaked in Secrecy & Giveaways

This week I'm celebrating:
1) After FIVE trips to the dentist to finish ONE freaking root canal (darned infection refused to go away), my dentist and I both needed a break. No crown until May. Whew -- what a relief!
2) I hit 20k on my Alaskan WIP, Coldest Night. That's about a third through. Yay!
3) With no crown until May, I'll be pain free and will probably be able to finish the book in the next 2 months. That's faster than I've ever written before! I'll have to revise it, but I'll still have it done before summer. (And as you see by the image at the top right of my sidebar, I've made a bold promise to publish FOUR books this year!)

My CP of Awsomeness, T.F. Walsh has released her new novel CLOAKED IN SECRECY! I adore this one - it's my favorite of her books so far because it takes place in a circus, and we all know I love those!
Congrats, Tania!

The Wulfkin Legacy saga continues with this gripping tale of love under extraordinary circumstances.
Death has followed Alena Novac's circus family for years. When the police arrest her brother for a murder he didn't commit, she has only a week to rescue him before he transforms into his wolf form in prison and exposes their wulfkin existence to the world.
Enre Ulf, a former member of the Varlac, the fearsome ruling wulfkin clan, plans to infiltrate Alena's circus clan and take out their alpha to save his home in Transylvania. Except he never expected his wolf to claim the alpha's daughter, Alena, as his mate, or feel compelled to save her brother to help protect the secrets of the wulfkin.
With the police closing in and the blood feud threatening them, Alena and Enre must overcome their pasts to save their packs' futures.

Cloaked in Secrecy is the book #2 in the Wulfkin Legacy series, but can be read a stand-alone book.

Very impressive progress on your WIP! Do let us know when the current one is ready to go, though - that cover is amazing and must certainly reflect the bookish goodness within.

I have to return to the dentist in a few weeks. :( Yay for Tania and for your upcoming books.

I've always had really nice dentists, but I imagine 5 visits would push us both to the edge! Good luck completing the book - 4 books sounds like an interesting challenge!

I had no idea TF Walsh lived in Sydney, just down the road. Her books sound great. Not sure if I have downloaded any, but I'll have to check. Thank you for helping her out Lexa.
It's frustrating sometimes how long it takes to finish a book, then there's the editing and rewrites. All the best between dental visits.

Here's to being pain free! Have a great weekend!

Glad your tooth ordeal is almost over. Wow! You have some amazing goals. Glad the writing is going well.

Congratulations to TF!
After all that, you do need a break. Sorry you still have to get the crown. That's a whole fun process itself.

WOW!!! 4 Books this year is amazing!!!

That dentist thing sounds like my life. I once had to get a crown, then there was more pain, the dentist decided it needed a root canal, after the root canal I still had so much pain, I went through the agony of getting the tooth pulled. That's one quick story.

You're making great progress Lexie, Keep it up.

Congrats to Tania, Her books are amazing!!!! And I love the covers!

How great that you're making such good progress. One of these days your dental work will be completed and the discomfort will only be a fading memory.

So sorry to hear about the infection-that is a pain! But yeah to all that writing. I'm totally impressed that you could write that much with all of that going on.
Congrats, T.F.! I really enjoyed book 1 and can't wait to find time to dive into the rest.

Yay... thank you so much for showcasing my latest release:) And four books is fantastic. You can do it. I'm super excited for you.

Here's to getting that dentist out of your mouth for a while and then for even longer after the infection clears up and the repairs are done. Happy teeth make it so much easier to get those books out.

Congrats to T.F. on her book.

Five trips to the dentist? Yikes! Glad you finally have a break from that for a little while. How exciting about your WIP, too! Best of luck wrapping it up! :)

I haven't made it to Australia yet, but I LOVE Romania. I'd go back there again in a heartbeat.

Lots to celebrate! Glad you're getting a break from the dental work--I have an appointment in May that I'm dreading, as I've been quite lax in going to the dentist.

Congrats on your book progress! :)

Good to hear your dental worries won't be a issue for a while.

Good luck with all those releases.

Carol Riggs said...

That's great progress on your WIP! Congrats. :) How nice that you also get a break from the dentist (those kinds of visits are NO fun *shudder*). Best wishes as you finish up COLDEST NIGHT!

Tooth pain is awful. I'm glad you're feeling better. That's a great word count.

TF's book looks gorgeous ;)

Cathy Kennedy said...

Lexa, Having dental work done is no fun. At least you're pain-free for now and you don't have to go back until May. I know when DH had dental implants done it was a long, involved process. I'm glad that's all behind us. I'm sorry for the late visit. See ya for tomorrow's post soon!

PlanetKimberly said...

Sorry to hear about your root canal. I hear those are painful! I'm cringing! I hope I never have to go through one.

Wow, you are inspiring! Four books in one year! I need to aspire to be more like you! You're amazing!

Yay for hitting 20K on your WIP! Boo for so much dental work...I HATE the dentist, endodontist, oral surgeon...you get the drift. Hoping it's smooth sailing from here! Enjoy your weekend!
