Thanks for voting on my Cover Poll!
A total of 154 people voted -- but SurveyMonkey won't let me see the votes from 8 of them! Seems even if you check the "Don't limit number of responders" SurveyMonkey still limits them to 100. When my poll hit 108 they refused to show anything over 100 UNLESS I paid them a year's subscription.
Yes, they were holding votes from 8 people hostage!
But I don't negotiate with terrorists -- so I quickly made up another poll and put it in place of the old one. I continued to get voters and ended up with 46 new ones before I closed the poll yesterday with a total of 146 voters.
Depending on input from whoever I decide to publish with, one of these three covers will be used. :)

Wow... so many fantastic entries for your book cover... Well done. Can't wait to see this book out... It's fantastic:)
Yay! Number eight was my second favourite, but number one is still the top candidate for me. Glad to see I wasn't the only one who felt that way.
They're all awesome options, whichever way you choose to go.
Wow, that's crazy how SurveyMonkey would withhold votes like that. Will have to remember that if I ever need to create a poll!
Anyway...hurray for #8! All your covers were amazing, but that one had been my personal favorite. Looking forward to seeing which of the top three becomes the official cover!
Congrats on your winning cover! It looks really good and I hope it makes a difference for the book.
Those three covers all look great - very atmospheric.
I love all three covers. They'd make me want to read the book.
Yay! My favourite cover won! What a bitch about Survey Monkey not letting more than 100 people vote though. Luckily it's so easy to copy surveys, so I'm sure it wasn't that hard to switch them out.
All three of them are great anyway! Bummer about the survey, but that was smart to make a second one.
Have a great weekend!
Citing "voting irregularities," Cover #1 is demanding a recount.
Congrats on your new (maybe) cover, and nice voter turnout! Have a great weekend, Lexa.
Congrats on deciding on your cover. I like this one although I picked #1.
#8 is my fave, but those three covers are all amazing!
I had a hard time choosing, they were all so good. But I kept going to #8, which had an eerie subtlety that gave me shivers. Yu can't lose with any of those three!
That's sucky about the survey. I like the final choices (my vote was for #1) but input from the publisher will be good since they know the target audience better--and your story.
glad you outsmarted the survey limit which is silly of them to do that. I love that book cover so congrats!
Woot! Looks like the poll worked out well for you. And yay for figuring out a way around Survey Monkey. :)
Yay! One of my cover choices made the top 3 (and the top one!). Congrats on a successful ('though slightly hiccuped) poll, Lexa. I look forward to seeing this book in print! ~Lori~
I think that's a fine choice and I hope it prompts people to buy your book.
I love the winning cover! Spooky. Have a great weekend :)
That's a serious creepfest happening with those covers! Love it!
Congrats on the winning cover! I chose all three of them, so I'll definitely buy a copy no matter which one you go for :P! Have a great weekend!
Eight was not my first choice, but it has a lot of merit! Hope your publisher agrees to it, after all, they should give the people what they want!
Dear me, I didn't realise that about SurveyMonkey! I only use it for doing the compulsory class surveys we have to do at my school to prove the kids think we're wonderful teachers. And that is never going to be more than twenty-five. As long as they don't start limiting the number of SURVEYS you can do, I should be okay.
All three covers are good choices. I wish you plenty of sales!
It was great taking part in the survey and I am so pleased No 8 came out on top :) Well done and thank you once again for all your hard work on putting together this linky and the accompanying freebies :) Special Teaching at Pempi’s Palace
The cover looks great! Have a great weekend!
Any of them would be good.
I love all the winners!! Yay!
Eight? How could they--mean! :) There were so many wonderful covers, and the three winners are fantastic. Can't wait to see the end result.
The covers are eerie for sure. Certainly makes one wonder what's under those covers. A lot of "free" stuff has a catch. I have gotten good at saying it's been fun good-bye.
It a great cover for sure! Wonderful discovery to share with us too, thanks.
Nothing is really free.
Great Cover!!! I love all of these!!!
I like the winning cover even though it wasn't my first choice. What a great idea.
Yes! That was one of my choices. It will make the perfect cover.
Cover 8 is cool (although my vite was for 1). Congrats on the participation. A lot of people weighed in. Have a super weekend!
I love your cover!! That's awesome =)
I hope you're feeling better, this week!
I think I voted for #1 and #8 so I'm feeling kind of special haha. No matter which one you choose there's no doubt they are all fantastic. Looking forward to reading this one when it's out in the world! Hope you enjoyed your weekend, Lexa. :)
loved all the cover advice, the cover contest, and the winner is definitely super duper!
and congrats on the 200k views!
always great to stop by and see celebrations - so glad you took it over and advertise with foxy too - you're awesome!
That is a winning cover! I think I voted for it, too. Yay, me. Can't wait to hear more about your project. It sounds very exciting, Lexa.
That cover was my favorite of the bunch. :) And thanks for letting us know about SurveyMonkey. I didn't realize they only allow up to 100 votes for free.
I was sick and didn't vote. Probably a good thing, because really which one! They're all so fabulous. I like the winner. I also like the runners up. The winner is pretty kewl.
Love the cover choice. I can't remember which one I voted for the first time, but I really do like the winner.
The winning cover looks great! Sorry I haven't been by, Lexa, life has swallowed me up! Thanks for welcoming Anouradha, she's a good friend, and does some wonderful work.
I wouldn't negotiate either. When they say free, I expect free.
I love all those covers. I can't remember which one I voted for, because I was so torn. I know I picked from the three top ones.
Good to know. Nothing is ever really free, anyway. #blah.... OH MY! I'm all fangirl over that cover! Story please???? :)
Sorry about the hassle. So glad you could get a result you could use.
I do like that super-creepy cover with the claw-like branch. You do creeptastic well.
