Celebrate: Wickedly They Dream & Lots of Giveaways!

This week I'm celebrating:
1)  I was doing great with my 1000 words-a-day writing schedule. I had 1ok of COLDEST NIGHT in the bag -- woohoo! -- till I was struck down by an abscessed tooth. My dentist refuses to mess with it until the infection is gone, so now I'm waffling between in-pain-and-can't-write and loopy-on-painkillers-and-can't-write. Ah well... I'm sure I'll get back on schedule next month. :)
2)  The covers for my novel BLOODWALKER are ready to go! They'll be posted here on Monday Feb 29th with a survey/poll so people can choose which TWO they like best. (Sometimes it's hard to choose, so I'm giving everyone two votes.)  I'll make sure to include the link to the post on other blog hops that week (IWSG & Celebrate) so that everyone will get a chance to pick their favorites!
3) Celebrate's own Cathrina Constantine has re-released a new version of Wickedly They Dream! Read on for more details:

Blurb:
Jordan hoped her life would change after the fiery death of the devious sorcerer, Asa Trebane. She was wrong. The Black Order of the Cult is gearing up to select a new Supreme Leader, and Lucifer will be judge and jury.
Seeley, Jordan’s mother, is possessed with a curse, and even the priests can’t find a solution to defeat the evil devouring her. Jordan must dig deeper into the Satanic realm and joins forces with a wicked witch to save her family from the clutches of Hell.
However, when things go awry with her guardian angel, Markus, Jordan is shrouded in her own longing as she faces the darkness without his light.
There’s trouble in paradise and souls are at stake as Jordan fights to hold onto a normal teenage life ~ the angel she loves ~ and a family that hangs in peril.

Regarding toothaches, why do pictures always show people with a bandage tied around their head?  Is that some pain relief thing I don't know about?  Do tell!

Tooth ache is the worst... really hope it heals soon so you can get it fixed. The funny with badges around their head are funny, but no idea why this implies a sore tooth. Hehe

Ouch! Toothache is horrible, I hope the abscess goes down soon so you can get treatment. Take care.

Sorry about your tooth. Write anyway - you might have a stroke of genius while loopy.
Ready to see the covers!

Poor you - toothache is horrible :( I think in answer to your question of why cartoons often show people with toothache with bandages around their heads and chins goes back to medieval times when people would make a poultice and place it on the outside of the cheek nearest to the infected tooth so I suppose they would have to bind it onto their face in some way! So sorry about your toothache Cathrina. Hope it's better soon. They are more than annoying. Good job on getting all that work done on your book. Feel better. Thinking of you.

Lexa, when I was young my teeth were horrible. I had more than enough of my share of toothaches. One thing I remember my mother doing for me was to have me to place an aspirin on the infected tooth then crushing it to pack the pain-killer directly on the tooth. This seemed to help for awhile or maybe the pain eased because I fell asleep. If you don't have any sensitivity to aspirin then check with your doctor (or use your own discretion) to see if this okay to try. I hope the infection clears up soon, so the dentist can treat the bad tooth. I feel your pain and saying prayers for you. Oh yeah, applying a warm compress on the side of your face with the infected tooth may bring some relief. Have a good weekend, if you can, dear! {{hugs}}

Lexa, THANK YOU!!!!!! And what a surprise to see my book here!!!!!

And I'm so sorry about your abscessed tooth! Those are sooooo painful. I hope it goes away soon so the dentist can take care of it. I have to admit, I despise going to the dentist, but it needs to be done, right? Good Luck, and I hope by next week we read that the pain and tooth is fixed.

I wanted to write 1k a day too, but life is getting in the way. I hope to stick to that goal next week too.

Ouch! Been there done that with toothache, no fun at all. And yes, I had heard that the scarf around the jaw was to hold on the poultice. More recently than the Middle Ages as well.

Nothing worse when it happens than a sore tooth. Sure hope it's better soon!

I'd go "loopy on painkillers" as the effects of toothache and an abscess messes your mind up anyway. Loopy sometimes can give you new ideas.

Dental pain of any kind is a bummer. Hope the infection is gone quickly and the tooth taken care of soon so you can get back to writing. Once again I am AWOL from Celebrating...not that I don't have much to celebrate...life just keeps happening.

Health stuff (and their medications) really do screw up your ability to focus and sustain thoughts. I've been dealing with that again, as well. I hope you have relief soon, and can get the tooth dealt with!
