Celebrate: Goof Off Success & Giveaways!

Since everyone liked the LOLDogz I put up last week, I’ll try to find one really funny vid or pic to put up every week to try to add a smile and chuckle to your day!

Enjoy – it’s only 17 seconds and will definitely make you laugh!

I succeeded in goofing off for a whole week and it felt great!  I watched lots of TV including the DNC, which touched me and made me tear up a lot.  I think only older women who've suffered in the business world and at home for many years, who've worked incredibly hard but gotten little appreciation, and in many instances been treated unfairly, get how the nomination of a woman for president makes us feel.

I'm hoping I can buckle down now and get back to my Alaska WIP.  Wish me luck!!

What are you all doing this week?  Goofing off or buckling down?

My kind and wonderful co-hosts of Celebrate the Small Things are:

Good on you for relaxing and not pushing yourself too hard. But do get back to your WIP... I'm missing reading it.

I'm not exactly goofing off, but I'm not exactly getting anything done either. But that's usually how my summers go.

Glad you managed to chill this week, we all need to recharge our batteries sometimes. Good luck with getting stuck back into your writing. Have a good weekend.

That bunny wasn't confused. He was darn right freaked out!
Now, back to your writing.

Oh, my work schedule won't allow any goofing off, but tomorrow morning, I'm sleeping in. Reading. Maybe some writing. Weekends, yay!

Been a mix between working and collapsing in near exhaustion. It's one of those weeks. Enjoy your weekend!

Glad you had a good time goofing off. I'm still in the busy working mode.

My goodness, that bunny went spastic. Glad you enjoyed your goofing off week. I'm getting some things done, but unfortunately, none of them are WIP related. Good luck getting back into your story!

I could watch those cute animal videos all day!!!

Feels good to goof off!!! I do a little of both. :)

That poor bunny. He'll never play with another balloon.

Popping balloons are scary, his reaction made me smile and say, oh, the poor little thing!

Glad you got to have a mini-vacation and goof off a bit.

I feel bad for the bunny, but that sure was funny.

LOL that poor little bunny. So sweet.

I feel the same way about the DNC. Teared up more than once.

Poor little bunny.

I've done a little of both this week. Sometimes we need that. Good luck getting back to Alaska.

I love goofing off. I've been looking at many funny memes and videos this summer. I have to buckle down before I go back to my day job.

I had a pet rabbit for 12 years - they make great pets, although this one in the video seems a little stressed out! Popping balloons scare me too. Glad you enjoyed some time "off". We need that time to regroup, re-energize and resume those things that really make a difference in our lives.

Sharing my Celebrate the Small Things on my blog today. I've gotten a bit behind so I'm trying to recommit!

Oh my! That poor little bunny. I'll have to show that to my daughter. Rabbits are her favorite animal. I'd like to be goofing off, but I need to cram in a lot of blogging and guest blog writing while having the kids home and keeping on top of all their activities. I'm feeling a little like that bunny after the balloon pops. Not sure what to do first.

Poor bunny! But thanks for the chuckle. Good luck making progress with your WIP!

Hope you feel recharged after your week off. I felt a bit sorry for the bunny. He was having so much fun.

Poor bunny. That must have been terrifying.

I am buckling down to goofing off:) Poor bunny....

That was so cute watching the bunny chase the balloon, but the poor little thing was so scared when it popped.

I also was incredibly moved by HRC's nomination. My son and I had a conversation about the significance of it for people my age and older. People his age and those in their twenties just assume that it will eventually happen, but we are old enough to remember how far we've come. Very inspiring!

Glad you got time off, but I want to echo everyone about looking forward to reading more of your chapters.

Ha, ha! The bunny made me laugh. We have little cotton tails in the pasture and for a while there was a nest in our back yard. I kept the cats inside until the babies left.
Good luck on you WIP.
The first part of the week I worked on my WIP and edits for the book that will be out in print soon. By Thursday, I had the blahs and have done little since then. Guess I needed a break too.
Have a nice weekend.

Glad you relaxed a little. You deserve it! The video was very cute and funny.
Hope you have a great week.

Tonja Drecker said...

Yay to goofing off! We all need to do more of that. . .but not too much.

I used to blow up balloons as toys for my cats. They would have such fun with them and they'd pop it and get confused as to where their 'toy' went.

I'm a day late on Celebrate because of mama-cat problems. One mama cat ran out the door leaving 5 hungry kittens and the only available substitute mama has 6 kittens of her own. So I have to do a lot of kitten wrangling to see that they all get fed. Mama cat seems to like the additions but she was pretty overwhelmed with the 6.

Lexa, the balloon breaking really terrified the little guy, didn't it? I can imagine it saying, "It's a big one, Ester! I'm comin' to be with you!" Now, if you watched, Sanford and Son, then you'll recall Redd Foxx's character using that line frequently on the show. lol Thanks for sharing some laughs and for the visit :)

I watched the DNC the night President Obama spoke and the last night with Hilary Clinton. I was deeply moved too. But it's sad that having a female leader is still seen as such a huge thing. And it is, but it shouldn't be. Without too much detail, Kim Campbell was the first female prime minister of Canada in 1993. She only served a summer internship ... it's a long story. But I don't think having another woman take the office would be the big deal it was back then.

This week is all about buckling down but next week I will be goofing off for summertime with the kids and hubby in Portugal - can't wait!!
Wishing you lots of success with your Alaska WIP. Have a great weekend :)

Aww.. poor bunny! I only watched the last night of the DNC but I also teared up a little. Definitely a welcome break from politics as usual.

I'm doing a bit of both goofing off and buckling down. Right now I'm working on my first romance and uploading the draft on Wattpad. Even entered it into this year's Watty writing contest.

The bunny made me laugh so hard! Thanks for sharing it. I'm glad you had a good week.

Poor bunny. I'd do some scrambling if that balloon popped in my face. Here's to goofing off. Come December, that's exactly what I plan to do.

I hope buckling down goes well! I definitely laughed at our little bunny friend. :)

klahanie said...

Hi human, Lexa,

Oh my, that bunny reacted to the balloon like I react when I fart.

Goofing off with Goofy, pawhaps.

All the beast, um, all the best, my lovely human friend.

Pawsitive wishes,

Penny!

Heather R. Holden said...

LOL, that poor bunny. And best of luck with your WIP! Hope it's not too difficult for you to get back into the swing of things after your week-long break...

Crystal Collier said...

Poor bunny! But yeah, that's pretty hilarious.

Alaska WIP, eh? I have one of those...except it doesn't take place in Alaska. That's what I could use right now to tame the heat, a little Alaska.

Chemist Ken said...

That video was great. I was afraid the bunny was going to have a heart attack or something.
