Celebrate: Almost Done & Giveaways!

This week I'm celebrating:
1)  I revised 9 chapters this week, putting me at 27 out of 33!!
2)  At this rate, I'll definitely be done revising next week and get the ms off to one more CP and a beta or two.
3)  I credit my warp speed to The Muppets.  For some strange reason, their adorable song "Mahna Mahna" has been stuck in my brain for a week, from morning till night. (The name may not be familiar, but if you listen, you'll probably recognize it immediately.)  It's such a cheerful song I can't help feeling optimistic and energized, and the revised chapters are flying by!

Do you ever get a certain song stuck in your head?  Does it affect your mood or your work?

Congrats, Lexa!

Getting through edits at such record speed is certainly something to be thankful for this week.

Yes, many times a song runs through my head and it does affect my mood. I sing along until I get hoarse. LOL.

Thanks for the excellent freebes.....

Congratulations on the progress! I get songs stuck in my head, but I have yet to get stuck with one that motivated me to get that much work done. If only.

Have a great weekend!

Awesome progress!
I know the Muppets' song and now it is stuck in my head. But hey, it could be worse!

Congrats on your great progress--I do get songs in my head, though if I got that one stuck, I might have to reach in through my ear and pull it out! Have a great weekend!

Yay for progress and "Mahna Mahna"!

Wow, aren't you rockin' those chapters - go you! I've been with the Muppets this week too, but in a more fast and furious way. I saw a gif of Kermit pounding away on the typewriter and have the Bonanza song stuck in my head. Mananana is cuter ;)

Congratulations! You're doing awesome. I had a good writing week myself. Thanks for the freebie links and have a wonderful weekend. :)

I love The Muppets, and have been inspired by them myself before! Glad they're motivating you this week...congrats on the great revisions progress!

Some songs become earworms just because of their beat, or maybe the words are memorable. Don't have one at the moment, but I have to really work to get rid when the time comes.

Ha, ha, that's one of my favorite Muppet songs. You can't help but bounce when you hear it. I get songs stuck in my head all the time. I'm fine with it as long as it's a song I like. When it's not, it drives me nuts.
Congrats on your revising progress! Have a great weekend!

Congrats on your revisions, and good luck getting the last few chapters done. Have a great weekend :)

Great work! You are in overdrive! When a song you don't want gets stuck in your head, drive it out by listening to the whole thing all of the way through.

That Muppet song was always a favorite.

I usually have Wipe Out stuck in my head. Don't ask me why. I haven't got a clue.

Yay for finishing your revisions! Or nearly finishing. I'm celebrating early because I'm excited to read what you've done! I always get songs stuck in my head, but very rarely do they motivate me...

9 chapters... Amazing. Celebrate. The end is near.
Sometimes I hear music. Not often. Elvis did motivate me for a story, not a particular song, all of them.

Lexa, I definitely do get songs stuck in my noggin all the time. Depending on what the tune is it can either fill me with giddiness or put me in a state of ponderment (is that even a word?). Congrats on the speedy revisions! Have a wonderful weekend!

Awesome job revising. I do get songs stuck in my head- but so great to get a song stuck in your head that motivated you! I will have to try the same. I love the Muppets. :)

Yay on the revisions! I use music to help with revisions as well, but I've never tried The Muppets. That's awesome!

Look at you go-Congratulations on your progress. I love that song. The Muppet Show was one of my Dad's favourite shows and he was in his late 60's when it came on. Picture a lumber man who was 6' tall and huge hands smiling and taping his finger when they played this song-he loved the old hecklers

I had a song stuck in my head for days recently: that "You say he's just a friend" one. Drove me nuts!

Rhonda Albom said...

Congrats Lexa. With great speed you are getting through.

'Spirit of Radio' by Rush does it for me every time.

I absolutely hate editing - it feels like the opposite of writing to me - so this is definitely cause for celebrating. Keep up the good work

Michelle Wallace said...

You are a revision/editing machine!
I'd like to borrow your editing brain for one day... please?
I promise to return it in original condition...

Annie Neugebauer said...

Lol! That was not what I was expecting. I can picture you typing to the beat of this. :) Yay for almost being finished! You can do it!

Rhonda Albom said...

Congrats on getting through your edits so quickly!
All I can say is that if I got THAT song stuck in my head, it would greatly impede my writing abilities.

Cathrina Constantine said...

Awesome!!! Only a few more chapters to go!!!! Good Luck!! And Happy Thanksgiving! I don't know if you celebrate it in Egypt....

I've got Be Happy Don't Worry stuck in my head. LOL. Congratulations, Lexa!!!

Mahna Mahna is a favorite in our house. We actually have a Playstation dance game with that song in it. It always creates warm fuzzies in our hearts. :)
