Celebrate: Roll Call & Giveaways!

This week I'm celebrating:

1)  I completed revising a chapter and am working on finishing another one. Yay!
2) I found a way to make visiting the members of Celebrate the Small Things easier.  I copied the blog addresses for every member on our linky and put them into a separate Blogger blog roll.  (See it at the bottom of left sidebar.)  Now I don't have to click through to the blogs of all the members to see if they've posted or not.  I can see at a glance who has a new Celebrate post up and go visit those who do.  Since we now have 52 members (WOW!!) this is a great time saver, and I suggest you make your own blog roll like I have.  :)
3) With a little help from Megaphone Man, I'm spreading the word about others celebrations:

Celebrate's very own Tanya Miranda has something wonderful to celebrate!  Today is the release of her novel THE BOX OF SOULS!  Woohoo!

Blurb: Although Jasmyn was overlooked to inherit her grandmother's magic, she learns she has powers of her own.  Resentment and envy are a dangerous pair, but when doused with magic, the chaos it creates is unimaginable.

Congrats on completing your chapter revision! And I can easily see how a blog roll would make keeping up with new posts easier. Yay you! :)

And wow, Tanya's book sounds fantastic. (Looks fantastic, too, thanks to that pretty cover!) Congrats to her!

That blogroll should definitely be helpful. Good luck with revisions.

Whew, always great to have another chapter done! Congrats! I have the same idea of keeping track of WEP contributors with a blogroll on the site. It works well, except the roll up changes all the time, but it's one of the best ways to see who's up and who's not.

Thank you for the shout out. It'd be great to see you write for us and it'd be great if I could get my act together and sign up for Celebrate. After the first big launch of WEP I will.

Have a great week Lexa...

I might join them in Write, Edit, Publish, but only if I can crank out something this weekend.
If the IWSG wasn't so big, I could put it in my sidebar as well. But I have to check every site every month anyway.

Blog rolls are wonderful ways to keep up with the groups you need too. I love seeing at a glance who's posted something new!

Thanks for the lovely shout out for the WEP - it's going to be a load of fun next week!

I sign up for the blogs I follow, and get an email, but the blog roll is such a better idea. I feel so late to the party with that one...

Thanks for the shout out, Lexa!!!

Happy Friday!

I'm doing Write Edit Publish this month. It should be a lot of fun. Have a great weekend!

Congratulations on your writing accomplishments! I did almost no writing this week, but that's because I did a lot of traveling.

So, what I'm celebrating this Friday is having survived two trips for book events that required three overnight stays. One of the trips entailed a 5 hour car drive (and 5 hours back two days later). Just made it home this afternoon .. and phew. I'm glad I have nowhere to go for a couple days.

Thanks for plugging my newsletter/freebie ebook. :) Sorry about the lack of Celebration post, I've been busy and unwell. Not a great combo!

Congrats to everyone publishing and those involved in giveaways. Write...Edit...Publish is so tempting because I miss the challenge of FF, I'll see how I'm fixed next month.

The blog roll is a great idea. I usually look on Blogger blogrolls for this feature - so I can see who's posted what before going there. But I'm on Wordpress and I don't think their blogrolls are the same. I'll see if there's a plugin! :)

Have a great weekend, Lexa. X

Hi Lexa,

Huge congrats on your chapter progress! And tons of thanks for the instructions for streamlining visiting other's celebrations. I'm creating a blogger roll this week along with finding a better third party Comment System. Thanks for letting me know how hard leaving comments are on my blog. I've had problems even viewing them. Congratulations to Tanya! the Book of Souls looks terrific.

Also Lexa, thanks for this blog hopping opportunity. When I started my blog popularity was about 19 million.
Now, with Celebrate the Small Things weekly posts--it's skyrocketed to 3.4 million. Largest jumped I've ever had with a blog and Celebrate the Small Things is directly responsible. Now that I have the eyes, I have to make sure to give good fodder for the weekly blog.

The blogroll is a great idea, I know. I've participated in the Christian Science Fiction & Fantasy blog tour for a long time and when I had my Blogger blog, I just made a blogroll for the tour participants. That made it easy to see when the members had made their posts. Saved a lot of time.

I have a Wordpress . com blog now, but I have an archive blog and am making blogrolls there by category for my own blog-reading convenience.

And I shall have to check out the blog hop. Might be something I can do.

Blessings,
Nissa

Yay for Tanya and all the other releases--and way to get smart about things. I'm still trying to figure out how to manage all the blogs I love. I really need to just get with it via a service.

As far as writing flash fiction, not for me. I find long novels easier to write for some strange reason!
