LOL, love today's funnies! (As a desert dweller, I can't help but relate!) The popcorn one especially cracked me up. I'm also partial to the ones with the dogs, since I can tell my own dog has been fed up with the heat... XD

Thanks for sharing the funny pictures! Those gave me a good laugh. We actually had a chilly day where I live, but I've experienced enough heat waves to sympathize. Have a great weekend!

Ha! I love all those images, especially the Statue of Liberty :D

Wow, that is hot!

It's raining here, has been for about a week now, I'll send you some if you like ;)

Enjoy your weekend ♥

Oh my goodness that is so hot! No wonder you are celebrating the air conditioning! Keep cool and carry on :)

Gah! I've been moaning about how long and tedious this winter has been, but I'm so glad it's not that hot. Keep cool!

Love the piccies you selected! *Chuckle. It's sunshine and showers here in UK as always, and regular 19-22 temp. :) Sounds like you need a heat break. I remember being in Dubai this time of year and hibernating in the villa, afraid of the heat outside.

Stay cool! X

It's been hot here in upstate New York all week, too, though it does at least cool off at night. I usually open windows at work but I've been going for the AC there this week. Stay cool!

That is one hot weather at your end, here its been quite cool and cloudy. I'll be sure to check out some of those freebies, thanks for sharing and do hang in there!

Love the funnies. Thankfully we survived our 6-month heatwave in Queensland, Australia, making great use of the pool and running the air-con around the clock. Now we're just at the tail end of winter and it is glorious. There's always something to be thankful for, that's for sure. :-)

112 degrees!!! And I thought it was hot here in Buffalo at 92!!! Yikes, glad you have air-conditioning. Love the pic's. LOL seeing the unclothed Statue of Liberty!!!

Alex J. Cavanaugh said...

I like the heat wave one!
I don't know how people survived without air conditioning.
My short story, Dragon's Destiny, is free to anyone who has read Dragon of the Stars.

I just celebrated how cool it's finally gotten here. Since our air conditioner broke down and the repairs are going to be pretty costly, I've been praying for no more heat. Enjoy that air conditioner. Enjoy.

It's so hot in the US that the Western states are on fire. I thank God every day for AC, water, and ice. The humidity in Florida scorches things up and inflames almost everyones' sinus cavities.

Stay cool!

And here I thought Miami was a hot spot. I feel you luv for A/C.

I read yesterday that this July was the hottest month (the world over) in the recorded history. This was good news for the air conditioning businesses, but not for the earth.

Unknown said...

haha!! great memes. I can't even imagine how you're handling it in Egypt. In New York it's been super hot but I adore it, since I love summer so! But my AC is on the brink so it has been a bit challenging lol I pretty much live in my pool until I'm so chilled I don't mind the mugginess.

Ava Quinn said...

Awesome memes! I'm glad you have air conditioning to battle it!

Unknown said...

Hope you get some relief soon from the heat. Keep cool :)

Sharon Himsl said...

You sure have my sympathy. I think we are all getting hit with extreme temperatures this year. Stay inside and keep the AC going. The funnies are hilarious.

Dianne K. Salerni said...

Those are some funny pictures! Stay inside and keep cool!

This is the part where I say I'm glad I live in England, because hot weather doesn't happen very often for us. The only problem is, when it does happen, we're woefully ill-equipped to deal with it. There is very little air conditioning here, so I know exactly why you need to celebrate it three times. Hope it gets cooler for you!

Murees Dupè said...

Air-conditioning, one of the best inventions. You should definitely enjoy it. We are saying goodbye to the last of the winter weather here in South Africa and one of these days the summer heat will be beating down on us again. Hope you are staying cool:) Have a great weekend.

It's been hot here, too, but only in the 90s. I'm glad you have air-conditioning. Thanks for the funny pics!

Joylene Nowell Butler said...

I like a heatwave during the day and chilly at night. Not much to ask for, eh? We don't have AC, but there is a nice breeze off the water most days.

stephen Hayes said...

It's hot here, but nothing compared to Egyptian weather.

messymimi said...

It's hot here, but we've moderated a lot. We just stay indoors unless it's raining or nighttime.

Beverly Stowe McClure said...

Those pictures are priceless.
We usually have hot weather, but this summer has been mild except for two or three weeks. Our temps have dipped into the 60s and even 50s at night the past couple of days. Very unusual for Texas. Of course our spring was weird too, lots and lots of rain. El Nino is at work, I think.
Stay cool.

These are hilarious. I never saw that Liberty pic before, lol. We usually hit the early 90s and I can't wait for it to cool down in a month.

cheerfuloptimistic said...

The weather forecast and the dog in front of the fan are my favorites. :)

I'm glad it's not nearly that hot here, and that autumn is approaching.

Patricia said...

We have had a hot and humid summer with another month of the same in store. We have had any temps over 100* but once it is around 100* it's just miserable. It would be awful not to have A/C. I don't know how those who labor outside stand it.

Rhonda Albom said...

We are all whining about the rain and winter cold here in New Zealand. I love the comics. The dog was the best, but they each made me laugh. Thanks for all the great books options.

Air conditioning--- what a concept. It was a relatively good day today which was great as I had to drive a nun somewhere in my truck--- where the air conditioning consists of rolling down the windows.

I love the way you have the 'Celebrate' members in the sidebar. I did that when I had a Blogger blog, for the Christian Science Fiction & Fantasy blog tour. I could then keep checking in on the blogs of the tour the whole month, I could see when the published new stuff.

My current blog is at: http://myantimatterlife.wordpress.com

OH my gosh, that is hot. I couldn't take it. Too hard on the heart.
We're having good weather right now, perfect actually.
I'm looking forward to fall, lovely, cool fall!

T.F. Walsh said...

Oh my... how do you handle that heat? Not sure I'd be leaving the house... Ever! Keep cool and here's to summer going away quickly. But in saying that, it's starting to get warm here already. I don't want Summer to arrive yet.

alexia said...

And I thought it was hot here in Florida! We get up to about 100, though the heat index is a lot higher.

Cathy Keaton said...

When you try to make a point about it being hot, you really make a point about it being hot! These are so funny. Don't mean to laugh at your pain, but the funnies make it hard to resist. ;)

mshatch said...

We had a mini heat wave here for about 5 days but luckily I'm very heat tolerant. However, your temps are even too hot for me. Glad you have AC!

Inge H. Borg said...

Oh, my word!
Thanks for the reminder, Lexa. I am diddling around in the Fayum (in Book 5 of my series) and the camels haven't melted yet...must correct that. Of course, down in the Lost Labyrinth, it's a constant 58 degrees (or so I say).
Keep cool!

kimlajevardi.com said...

I loved the cartoons, but I'm sorry you're living through temps. that warrant them. I'm managing the heat here because it's not that hot. We're ping-ponging between the 80s and 90s.

S.A. Larsenッ said...

That first pic of the dog melting is really funny! Overall, we haven't had a warm summer at all, but the last two weeks were extremely hot. It was such a shock to the system.

Kelley said...

No kidding. I'm a nature girl, and I can't get in the house fast enough in this heat.
Best, coolest, to you!

Jay Noel said...

Here in the middle of the country, we've actually had very mild and pleasant weather. We had some really hot days in July, and August is usually brutal here. But right now, it's a cool 60F (15.5C). Very unusual. I'm enjoying it!

Catherine Stine said...

Hahaha, melting dogs - very cute. I just bought my older son a doggie snowsuit for his little dog, since he headed to Kazakhstan to teach!!! It can go down to 30 below zero there in the winter. The opposite problem.

Anonymous said...

Wow, I don't know how you do it. My favorite times of year are Spring and Autumn. I'm not a heat person at all. Love the comics. Too funny! Enjoy your week. Hugs. Eva

Kimberly said...

Lol, those are cute pics - of course I love the dog on ice - he looks like my bud.

I am very thankful for A/C too - we would never survive the summers here without it.

Michelle Wallace said...

I've forgotten how hot it is up there.
We also have extremely humid summer weather. But yours is definitely worse.
Thanks for the links!!
LOVE the popcorn pic! LOL! Cute!

klahanie said...

Hey human, Lexa,

You can stop your thumb-twiddling for I have arrived with one of my highly collectable comments.

It's hot here in England and I'm not melting. Arf! Still not as bad as Egypt. That's a Pharaoh temperature you've been experiencing.

I wonder if we could call it a heat snap and a cold wave.

You've got loads of links which I totally skimmed through :)

Pawsitive wishes and doggy kisses,

Penny xx

I now have nothing to complain about! Our temps did not go over 100.

Annie Neugebauer said...

How funny! Lexa, did you ever see a while back when I tweeted a whole chain of "I'm so hot/it's so hot" jokes? I could've used this post then!!

DMS said...

Oh my- it is hot in your area! I am thankful for air conditioning and it has only been in the 80s and 90s here. Good luck and I hope you stay cool. Yeah AC! :)
