That last one we are "guilty" of.....
we have let this "Town" (which voted me as "Greatest Villain at topix / forum")and some of the residents...
we have indeed allowed them to "steal our Joy".... this is a sad fact.....
also many "fear" me and think of me as "the Boogeyman" as well.....

That last one was awesome. Not that all of them aren't, but it made me smile. We just have to write and let whatever comes, come, right?

The first one and the last one are speaking to me right now. To combine them, I'd have to say:

A flower doesn't let competition with the neighboring flowers prevent it from joyfully blooming.

That last one is my favorite!

Great motivation for November! When it gets darker and the winds start seeping in, I think we're wise to remember there's more. For me, the more comes from writing. Happy writing, Lex!

I love the Arthur Miller quote! Liz Blocker blogged about something similar to this today. Writing for money has very little significance for me at this time. I earn money from the books I sell at schools but this is hardly enough to support myself in the real world... which is why I have the dreaded day job.
But with this being said, one of the BEST profits I make out of the business is the feeling I get after I have given an author presentation to the children. They are truly my inspiration and one of the main reasons I am passionate about succeeding in this business. If I could visit every school in the country, I would!

These are great! I agree that we shouldn't let anyone steal our joy! Always a good reminder. :)

I think the background of the muse quote would be nice with Miller's quote.
Enjoy your week.

I am a meme junkie, so I <3 you today!!! Love the profit one, live by the joy one. Life is too short to let other people have my joy. I refuse. It's mine. I guard it greedily!

Hey Lexa!

Wow and check them quotes! I'm inspired at gone five in the morning. Yes, I'm actually here, I quote myself.

Nice to see you, my kind friend. To prove I'm back, I want to thank you for being part of "IWSG" aka "I Was Seeking Gary."
