Celebrate the Small Things

This week I'm celebrating:
1) The ability to keep functioning on 4 hours sleep a night as I work on release/review/blog-hop things.  It's like being back in college and studying for finals.  I can still run with the young 'uns.  Ha!
2) Awesome people like Julie Flanders who are generous of spirit and warm of heart -- and know how to make Mr. Linky's and Rafflecopters, since I'm clueless.
3)  Patient people like my CPs and the winners of my critique giveaway who forgive me for lagging behind. (Sorry, guys! I'm getting there, I promise...)
4) All the members of IWSG whose posts this week have entertained me, touched my heart, cheered me up, and kept me awake when I was nodding off...  I feel proud to be one of you.  ((((Hugs))))

This post is part of VikLit's blog hop, Celebrate the Small Things. To be part of this blog hop, all you have to do is follow the link and put your name on the Mr.Linky list, and then be sure to post every Friday about something you're grateful  for that week.  It can be about writing or family or school or general life.  This is the funnest and easiest blog hop ever!

Ooh, what a neat idea for a blog hop! Not sure I can participate in it, though, since I'm too much of a homebody to think of a dream destination, haha.

And can you tell I'm an insomniac when I think 4 hours isn't that bad at all? (Oops... XD) Hope you can finally get some better sleep soon!

The IWSG comments were extra awesome this week.
Will join you in that blogfest, although I will probably post one day early for it.

Loved the IWSG on Wed. And here's another great Hop, I see.

All signed up. But how to decide where to go?!!!

And hang in there! You can sleep in 2014.

oooh! I'm excited about this bloghop! I hope you can ride out the on sleeping thing. That's tough!

Lots to Celebrate this week! Have a good weekend, Lexa!

This bloghop sounds lovely. And surviving on 4 hours of sleep a night is tough. Hats off to you.

Julie Flanders said...

Aww, you're so nice to say that. I'm so grateful to you for coming up with this idea and doing the artwork. I never would have thought of it. I'm so excited for our hop! :)

Congratulations on all the things you're celebrating, Lexa, especially the blog hop. Very exciting for you. Best wishes and happy weekend.

I make a point of going to my dream destinations. Travel does provide one with a lot to blog about. In February I'm off to Thailand to find an elephant I'm not too fat to ride.

What a fun blog hop! I'll have to think long and hard about my dream destination. I've been most of the places I've wanted to go to, but often not at the time I would have liked to. Can we time travel in this blog hop?

I'm proud for our blog friendship, Lexa.
I'm thinking about the bloghop - so many places I dream of traveling to.

Be well.

Blog hops have been really big for me this week too. Congrats on yours and Julie's and the releases of your books!

That should be a really fun blogfest.

Hi Lexa,

Blog hop? Argggghhhhh!!!! Make them STOP! LOL. Sorry about that. Almost seriously, all the best with this to Julie and your good self. Nothing like having a book released to a um,a captive audience.

My dream destination is your blog site! Have a good weekend.

Gary :)

Ooh this sounds really fun! I can't participate myself but I will spread the word in my weekly blog post newsletter!

Great blog hop idea <33

I signed up! Yeah... Um, where will I blog about? It's a big world out there. :D

And my MS is coming back from my editor tomorrow (fingers crossed) so if you haven't gotten around to mine yet, let me know and I'll send you the edited pages instead. [But if you've started, don't worry about it :) ]

Sounds fun. I know where I want to be right now—Aruba. My parents are there, and since it's 26 degrees here right now, I'm so ready to go to the Caribbean.

My dream location is Bucerias, Nayarit, and we hope to be there in Jan. Not a day too early either. This is a great idea for a blogfest.

I feel the exact same, went to work at 9am after only 2 1/2 hours sleep as I was doing blog related things, I felt so terrible all day. I've been lucky to get 5 hours sleep each night this week, but it's worth it! Not sure if I'll join in, I'm worried I'll forget! Thanks for following my blog, have followed you back =D If I can remember, I think I'll take part in this. Now to think of a destination, I have a few in mind.

VikLit said...

4 hours sleep! Gosh I couldn't cope on that anymore, you're good!

Cherie Reich said...

Sounds like a neat bloghop!

And I hope you get some more rest! Four hours a night isn't enough!

Anonymous said...

4 hours isn't enough, but it's one way to get more out of your day. Provided you're not given to sleep deprivation hallucination. I've read that it's just so much fun!

Tonja Drecker said...

Wow - 4 hours? I can't pull that. No way. Hope you get more sleep soon :)
And yep, CPs are worth celebrating. Sounds like a fun bloghop!

Ms Misantropia said...

Oh, this sounds like a fun blog hop! Count me in :) Though, how to narrow down the list of places I wanna go...

Jessica Lawson said...

4 hours? Yeesh, and I thought MY dream destination would be Nap-land :) Under normal circumstances, my dream destination might be someplace cool in Europe, but right now in my life, I'm thinking warm, tropical beach setting with a good vibe, fresh fish, citrus, and plenty of time for relaxation and napping.

kimlajevardi.com said...

Travel, even imaginary travel, count me in. :) I kind of flubbed the first entry, and I had to try a second one. If you can delete the first one, please do. Dang gremlins. ;)

DMS said...

Sounds like you have a lot to be thankful for! :) Congrats on everything! Hope you can get more sleep soon.

This blog hop sounds like a lot of fun. Great to imagine places we would like to visit.

I'd like to go to the hot spring spas in Iceland. And to Cuba.

So many places I'd love to see -- I've not traveled nearly as much as I would like to. For some reason -- and I'm not quite why -- one thing I'd love to do is walk on the Great Wall. But I enjoy traveling to almost anywhere, if I'm traveling with someone I care about -- it's the sharing of the event that's the best part.

I hear you on the "4 hours a night" -- There are so many things I want to do and so little time to do them all in. And as one of the newer IWSG-ers, I'll just throw out a "you're welcome" for the group. :)

Hugs to you. Sounds like you need it.
I unfortunately won't be able to take part in the blogfest because I'm planning on taking a blog break in December to refresh. But if I did, then I'd say I'd love to visit Hawaii and Egypt. :)

Christine Rains said...

The blog hop is awesome! I hope you managed to catch up on sleep. :)

Crystal Collier said...

Love this hop. Wishing I had time to participate. (I know, I'm being lame.)

Ava Quinn said...

Great stuff, Lexa! And I'm jealous. I would certainly have a psychotic break if I were functioning only on 4 hours of sleep. You can hang with the young'uns!

Carol Kilgore said...

I would love to take part in this blogfest, but I'm going to be on blog break all of December. Have loads of fun with it!

I find I can't go without sleep for too long. I used to be able to.

This'll be such a fun hop.

TB Markinson said...

4 hours a night. Here I was proud of myself for getting up at 5am and going to bed at 10pm. You put me to shame. I wish you the best of luck.

Michelle Wallace said...

Your blog hop sounds like fun!
I MAY be on a small break at that time, but I have signed up and will design my post in advance.

Mina Burrows said...

Fun Hop! Cool. Love the little things you mentioned. I like reading peoples's IWSG posts too. :)

Rhissanna said...

I know I'm late to this, but I really hope you're finally getting some sleep! As for the blog hop above, I will give it real consideration. However, I like being right here. There's coffee, a screen, people all over the world to talk to...

Jocelyn Rish said...

Sounds like you are crazy busy, but the good kind of crazy busy because it's all for such a happy reason! :-)

Beverly Stowe McClure said...

Looks like a lot of fun. Must write myself a reminder note because December is a really busy month with hops and book blasts.

Magaly Guerrero said...

I am in... at the moment, I think most of my dream destinations are in my head. I wonder how that will translate...
