That is so true!
Thanks for joining the IWSG. The encouragement from others is just amazing.
Short, sweet and so true. Nice.
The words I needed to hear today!
I love that quote! With that kind of attitude, it's so much easier to cope with the insecurity. Thanks for the uplifting words!
And thanks for becoming my newest follower!
Lexa, thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. I love that you compare writing to a marriage. Brilliant! I read it to my hubby. :)
Nice meeting you! And thank you for your great advise.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Good luck in your writing. :)
Nice advice - I missed doing a post this month (an all too-rare vacation), but trying to catch up on some visits today.
Well said. I like my philosophies without dressing :)
Thanks for joining my blog, Alex. I love the eye.
Very true :) Thanks for stopping by my blog!
It really is that simple...
So simple, yet so profound. I think it might just be my new mantra! Thanks for stopping by my blog, and so glad to have found yours. I'm loving the IWSG so far (July was my first month)
It is an amazing group! The simplest things are often the most crucial!
Welcome to IWSG! Such a wonderful and supportive group!
Inspiring stuff! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I love visiting everyone's blog as well - I really do think its a special thing to be a part of. Wish I could visit everyone. And thanks for following me too. It means a lot! Cheers
Short, simple, and so true:) Thanks for visiting my blog. It's been fun to check out your blog and read your book blurbs.
Yes, I do love what I do. And that makes it fun!
It's funny because when I stop writing for a bit, I start to forget how much I enjoy writing. To the point where I start to be reluctant to keep going. Then when I finally do state to write, I remember how much I love it.
This quote is so true!
Well, I do love what I do! (: Thanks for stopping by my blog. Love your site btw. When I was a child I lived a few years on the Red Sea in Aqaba, I still have fond memories of that time. It's sad though being so close we never visited Egypt. Maybe one day I'll have the opportunity to visit. (:
I've recently decided that getting published isn't the end goal. It's part of the journey to a better me :)
I just joined The Insecure Writer's Support Group. I already have my first post scheduled, and I'm excited to be a part.
Agreed! Thanks for following my blog; I'm following your blog now as well. I'm number 101, I kinda like the sound of that. Sherri 101 :)
Terrific simple advice. Now if I only could find the patience to wait for it to fall in place.
Yup, the simplicity is great. How to tell if a story's working - if we love it and are excited by it, that seems a good indicator :-)
Absolutely...in time. With that love and a little patience, anything is possible. :)
Your three sentences pack a punch. So true. :)
So true... got to remind myself of this when things seem against you.
Thank you for letting me in on your secret, Lexa. Lovely.
I believe you have found the secret, Lexa. If you love what you write, your characters, your story, and your dream, you will find a way to make it all happen. Thanks for visiting my blog and following. Come again and comment, Roland
That's really all it's about, isn't it? I appreciate your perspective, Lexa. We so often complicate things by letting insecurities take over.
Welcome to the IWSG! Thanks for stopping by, and for the kind comment. I'm glad to meet you here and look forward to reading more from you.

Thanks for visiting my blog Lexa and a big warm welcome to the IWSG! Really nice positive thoughts for your first post, too! Good advice.
Aloha, Lexa,
Short, sweeet - and to the point... well done on a great IWSG premiere :)
PS... thanks for your kind comments on my blog post - and I'm a new follower, too :)
Wonderful advice. It never feels like work that way. :)
Such simple, yet powerful advice! Love it! Welcome aboard!! :)
Too true! Welcome to IWSG! :) Nice to meet you!
Thanks for visiting my blog - and I love the advice on yours! :-)
Too true. Well said.

Thanks for the follow Lexa. I love these words of wisdom.
I just love that you are from Egypt, great history. I also love your advice for beating insecurity. I don't think that anyone has put it any better. Thank you for stopping by my blog.
Love that quote, Lexa! A few words say it all.
Love it!
That's an awesome way of looking at it. :)
Great advice!
Great advice, you're gonna love this group.
I couldn;t agree more. If you love what you do, then to heck with the rest of the world!
Great to have you at IWSG! Thanks for following me. I've been here in Fiji without internet for 5 days, so just got back online a few hours ago. I've followed you too and I read several of your past blog posts. I'm fascinated by Egypt and have written a story about the demonstrations in Cairo. Haven't visited. Always seems a bit scary when I think about it.

I love the simplicity of how you beat insecurity. Brilliant. I think sometimes we over complicate matters.
I also agree that this is excellent advice! Glad that you're a fellow empty nester, and I look forward to getting to know you! Thanks for following me! Julie
Great advice and one I should post on my computer screen. :)
I gave you two awards on my blog today. :) http://kellyhashway.blogspot.com/2012/07/monday-mishmash-and-more-blog-awards.html
Great advice!
Great advice! Words to live by.
I love how positive and encouraging these words are. Exactly what I need to repeat each day and night as my mantra.
Great to remember, Lexa! But how easily we forget. I always feel happier when I focus on what I already have, instead of what I don't. And having the luxury of my own PC and stolen moments to create and exchange stories with wonderful friends I've never even met in person is so so worth being happy and thankful about. :)
Being satisfied while maintaining drive to pursue your dreams...Ah! Sweet words, indeed. :} Have a great day, Lexa.
I love this advice!! I missed last week's group but I'm glad I found your post today. This is definitely something I need to remember.
Great to meet you!
Hey again, I wanted to let you know I've nominated your blog for an award. Information will be posted this coming Friday on my blog. :)
So true! And great advice! If we don't love what we do, then why are we doing it in the first place? (Of course, a lot of things we have to do whether we like them or not, but I'm talking more creatively.)
Thanks for visiting my blog and welcome to IWSG!
I love your 3 sentences - it reinforces the "less is more" philosophy...
