Celebrate: Keep On Keeping On & Giveaways!

Most weeks I have specific things to celebrate. This week, nothing much happened... It was a ho-hum week. The only thing different is we got a new doorbell. (Exciting, right?) But I wrote a bit, reviewed some, cooked some, cleaned a little, and basically lived a normal life -- and that's good enough for me!

I want to give a shout out to a CP with, and I quote, "an AWFUL cold." So these are for Kim, but you'll get a chuckle out of them, too.

Has your winter been healthy or not so much?

Sometimes not having much happen is a good thing. Happy Friday!

Average weeks happen. Better than a bad week.
My wife and I haven't caught anything this year. We usually don't get sick.

The cat puns! I love them.... :D

Yes, sometimes just having a normal week is good. We need to appreciate the basics in life more.

Had some days here and there where I wasn't feeling well, but no flat-out, actual get me to the doctor kinds of illnesses, thankfully. Not even a real cold, now that I think about it. Enjoy your weekend!

Overall, we've been healthy this winter. I did have a cold that knocked me down for a few days, but nothing serious.

Sometimes "normal" is O.K. So enjoy the norm.

Compared to last year, we have been healthy--knock on wood. Last year I had pneumonia twice (caught it from my daughter). It was awful. Had to enter the contest with the tiger--I'm totally addicted to stuffed animals.

Like John mentioned, I'd rather have a ho-hum week vs. a bad week. :) LOVED the get well doohickeys - they made me giggle!

Thanks for allowing me to join in the fun! Have a great weekend! :)

Considering my kitty barfed in the hallway this morning, I think she needs a purramedic.

Sometimes average weeks are just what you need, so celebrating them is no bad thing. Thankfully I haven't been sick yet this year, but with autumn just around the corner, I'm sure it won't be long before the first cold of the season.

I love the picture of the gray kitten with the knit blanket. Makes me think of my kitty Simon who had a bad infection from a cat fight. But he's better now after a vet visit and a week or more of being the only kitty who got to sleep with me at night.

Hope your friend is better soon.I'm sure those adorable pictures will cheer her up. Happy weekend.

We have a doorbell that doesn't work! It's new too but never really worked well. Glad you have one and probably more reliable than ours. I have, so far, avoided the usual illnesses but I am loving the pics you showed

In answer to your question, I've been well all winter but now I'm fighting a cold. Take care.

Those are awesome! Thanks for the laughs and the well wishes. ❤

Normal weeks are glorious. Too many of hem are definitely not normal. 😉

Dear Lady Lexa... we have very little and with health issues... We do enjoy the little things ... there may not be much , so, we really cherish what little there is to be had ... Living with-out makes you savor Whatever you have... A pleasant weekend to you and yours ... and a get well soon to your Friend.... and Hello from Marshville...

Wow, plenty of free stuff here. I also have a very simple life and sort of enjoy small things like cooking something nice, getting a half an hour to write, that sort of thing, but cleaning? Oh, I hate that. It has to be done, however.

Sharon Himsl said...

I can relate to the doorbell. Hubby wanted
two new ones and I still get them confused. Have a restful weekend!

I got a new door bell too. Only mine is exciting. It plays circus music every time someone rings.

I'm currently sick so I'm eagerly waiting for it to pass. On my days off too! But the boss is glad for that because yesterday we had a few employees out sick already.

Tonja Drecker said...

The ho-hum week seems to be going around. I only put flowers on my celebration because not much happened here either. A door bell is pretty neat! Hope Kim feels better. We've actually had a pretty healthy winter. Wow.

Cathy Kennedy said...

Lexa, Celebrating a ho-hum week isn't bad. I love the giggles! DD #2 has the flu and isn't feeling too well right now so I may send her one of these pix. It's sure to make her smile! I haven't been sick, sick just sick of allergy flare-ups which have bothered me since last fall. I'd rather be sick sick once in a while instead of suffering through allergies every day for weeks and months on end. It's just crazy! Have a good weekend, my friend!

I have been sick on and off since right before the new year. Colds, sinus pain, an assortment of things. Hoping once spring gets here all will be better. :)

The kitty in the Kleenex is so darn cute. :)

Have a great weekend and week!

Aside from jet lag, my winter has been quite healthy...and I try not to complain about jet lag too much, lest someone shoot me. :)

Hope your CP feels better soon!

Patsy said...

I don't mind 'ho hum' weeks where nothing particularly exciting happens as a break between more frantic times.

Yvonne Ventresca said...

Hooray for new doorbells and I hope your CP feels better!

Sometimes having a normal week can be a very welcome relief and certainly something to celebrate! Here's to Ho Hum :) As for Winter Wellness, I think being out of a classroom has certainly been good for my health - I've been fighting fit all winter except for a few evenings feel rather tired on the sofa. I think that's more to do with it being so dark at night through the winter months so looking forward to spring coming soon :)

There's nothing wrong with celebrating the mundane. We all know a lot of what's posted online is nonsense, so I'll happily celebrate 'Hey, I'm normal!'

H. R. Sinclair said...

Aw, what a sweet get well post.

cleemckenzie said...

Sorry about being sick. Hope by this time you're out from under the covers and back to your usual energetic self. Congrats to the winners of Bloodwalker.

Sometimes just having a normal life for a few days is amazing. Sorry I missed the giveaway for the audiobook!

L.G. Keltner said...

This winter started out with everyone in our house being ill. Now everyone seems healthy. Maybe I shouldn't say that though. I might be inviting bad luck.

Ho-hum weeks happen. I'd rather have that than disaster, anyway. I hope this week is a good one!

LD Masterson said...

Love the get-well kitties.

Enjoy the ho-hum weeks. They give you time to re-charge.

Jenny Baranick said...

Hope your doorbell "rings" you lots of happiness. Sorry--the feline pun made me do it.

klahanie said...

Hey Lexa,

Loads of info and a bit of a chuckle. Heck, even a certain Jack Russell dog liked the cat captions.

You got a new doorbell and I got a new knob. Moving swiftly on...have fun, even with a ho-hum week.

Gary :)

Crystal Collier said...

Hey, a new doorbell is an exciting thing. =)

We just had our run of sickness. Actually, my hubby is still in the midst of it and I'm hoping everyone else is past. Too many visits to the doctor... Glad to be on the tail end. Hope you're over it for good.
