This week I'm celebrating:
Outlining a new novel! It's a horror/thriller I've been thinking about for nine months. It means going back to what I love writing and not worrying about the market. It may be a cliche, but follow your passion 'cause life is too short to force yourself to wear shoes that don't fit!
Anyone else trunked a half-finished WIP to start something new and shiny you're passionate about?
Blurb:
After Seeley is possessed by an evil wraith, Jordan must dig deeper into the Satanic realm. Against Markus’s direct orders, she offers herself, body and soul in a blood covenant to rescue Seeley from the clutches of hell. Jordan assumes her guardian angel will not leave her to fight alone. But there’s trouble in paradise, and Markus has been reassigned. Can Jordan defeat both her internal and external demons to win him back? Or is he gone for good this time?

Congratulations, Cathrina!
A horror-thriller? I like those. Write it anyway, Lexa.
Ooh, a horror/thriller does sound exciting!
"Life is too short to force yourself to wear shoes that don't fit!" Ha! Never a truer word! :D
Have a perfect weekend! :)
Can't wait for the new horror thriller. You, my dear, are a wise lady. Got to stop wearing those shoes that don't fit!
We can't worry about the market and who's reading what or whats selling 'cause in a few months all will change. Lexa, write what you love!!! Thank you for hosting me today. Your Blog looks fantastic!!!
Outlining a new novel - you go Lexa!
Congratulations, Cathrina! Hope you have huge success. Love the cover. Yes, Lexa, write what you love. The passion will come through that way.
huge congrats to Cathrina!! wonderful cover. And absolutely, Lexa, I have definitely dropped a WIP to focus on something I care a lot about, even if it's not a popular genre. So important! :)
Cathrina's book sounds great. And how nice you've started a new book.
Congrats to Cathrina.
Oh, yes, I am LOVING the horror/thriller genre right now! Good luck with it.
Yay for a new book you love! I can't wait to start reading it.
Good for you. Besides, writing is so much more rewarding than marketing, don't you think?
Congrats again to Cathrina! Lexa, have fun with your new book! "Write what you love" -- words to live by.
Write what you love and the passion spills forth! Thriller/horror sounds very neat. Congrats to Catrina
Good for you on the new outline--have fun with it!

Follow your passion, Lexa! Thanks for the freebies!
Great new book, Cathrina!
I didn't get enough horror/thriller reading in October, so I'm thankful, Cathrina!
Love that cover art, by the way.
Wickedly They Dream sounds really cool, I love the blurb and the title page.
I like the Wickedly concept. And I'm all for horror/thriller stories. Haven't read any this halloween, but hope to remedy that in the coming year.
Great cover! And I totally agree that life is too short.
I love my denim, and Cathrina's denim-clad cover image is SMOKING!
Thanks for the freebies!
That cover's gorgeous! I've been missing for a while, but hope to come back to blogging full steam and visiting you more often!
So many freebies, so little time. I'm still getting caught up on all those Creepy Freebies! Good luck on the new project; may the words flow...
Cathy's book sounds very interesting. What a fabulous cover too! Wishing her the best of luck and thanks for the awesome giveaway. :)
Lexa- So happy for you that you are going back to writing what you love. I just heard an author speak yesterday about how writing for the market doesn't work for her- she needs to write what she wants to write even when people have told her that what she wants to write won't sell because that is when her writing is the best. :)
Best of luck with the new project.
~Jess
Outlining a new project is always an exciting time!

"Life is too short to force yourself to wear shoes that don't fit." Amen! I'm happy to hear you're starting something new that you're excited about. Good luck with it!
I trunked a historical novel that wasn't working out -- after writing 50,000 words of it -- to start the first draft of book that would become THE EIGHTH DAY. And I'm glad I did!
Love the Freebie page. What an awesome idea!
I have chunked a manuscript before. It felt so good! Thanks for the Freebie mention about my website contest.
I have two or three stories that I started, some of them years ago, but got side tracked with new ideas, so they sit there waiting, perhaps forever. Write what is close to your heart.
A beautiful cover Cathrina and sounds like a wonderful story. Congratulations.
How cool that you're working on a new novel! Best of luck with it!
Cathrina rocks!!! Perfect highlight, Lexa! :)
I have a start of a novel on Athena that I may revise and publish online as a series of short stories
I like Winter Moon's comment.
"Go for it."
This sounds so amazing, and the cover is amazing.
