Celebrate: I'm Back!

I'm Baaaaack!

This week I'm celebrating:

1) My vacay left me feeling relaxed, content, and ready to go back to work on my WIP without stressing out. (I hope that lasts...)
2) While I can't really bust a move like the dancers above, my toe has healed enough that I can walk like a normal human being (or Walk Like an Egyptian)!

I've noticed that sometimes in my dreams I can sing like Celine Dion, tap-dance like Gregory Hines, and play the piano like my mother. (She was very good.) I guess this is some kind of wish fulfillment since I wish I could really do those things.

Do you have abilities in your dreams you wish you had in real life?

Welcome back, Lexa! And yay to being able to walk around like normal again.
In my dreams I can fly... but not very high off the ground, lol.

Welcome back! So great that your toe feels better. In my dreams I like to think I can dance well and by that i mean being supple, doing splits and actually having rhythm. But it's only a dream.

Welcome back, Lexa!
In my dreams, I can swim. The reality is quite a different story...can't even float. LOL

Welcome back! In my dreams I can dance like Fonteyn, sing like Billie, speak 9 languages and still look like a supermodel. A girl can dream, right?

Welcome back! Glad your ready to dance.

Nice to see you back! I'm glad your vacation was so good for you. Oddly, I think in most of my dreams I'm pretty much myself. I don't know what that means!

I was just thinking the other day that I had not seen a post from you in quite a while. It was nice to see your name and blog on my dashboard again.

When I'm in the shower or on the treadmill, I can sing like a rock star. :D

Welcome back!

Welcome back. Vacations are great. It's also nice to get back to writing or whatever else fills a person's day. In my dreams, my face looks like I'm sixteen again. Hahaha!
Have a lovely weekend.

In my dreams I can do some things that I can't do in real life. On the flip side, there are things I can do in real life that I'm unable to do in dreams. I hate the dreams where that happens.

Welcome back! I missed you :)

Welcome back! It sounds like you had a wonderful vacation. I dreamed a couple of times that I had wings and could fly like a bird over the trees and rooftops. It was so much fun!

I am so glad you had a great vacation and that your toe has healed. Yes I have had dreams where I am flying or I can jump and float over homes and telephone poles. I have wonky dreams-the other night I dreamt the city was being destroyed by a huge King kong and a huge....wait for it...Josh Grobin-hahahaaa-Why him I have no idea but I was able to talk with them and they were misunderstood and people were friends with them. I ghave a banana to King Kong who was hanging off a building and I was sitting next to a huge Josh Grobin who was talking away about god knows what

Welcome back! Glad to hear your vacation was relaxing and that your toe is getting better. Is walking really necessary for writers? : ) I guess we have to get up at some point and hobble about for more coffee, hot chocolate, or some other caffeinated drink.

YAY- I'm celebrating you're back!!!! :D

Hey, I can for sure sing like Celine Dion in my dreams too, woot! I can also bust out 4 books a year in my dreams. And all perfectly written on the first try, btw. Don't worry, I wouldn't try that awake lol

Even if you can't dance well enough to be on TV, enjoy a dance in your own kitchen if you want -- it's worth celebrating that things are going well!

One of my favorite dreams was the one where I was an assassin, and a very good one. But, it is a little disturbing to think that being an assassin was one of my most favorite dreams. Then again, it was just a dream...

Glad you had a fabulous vacation :)

Glad to have you back (toe and all). Hope the afterglow of your vacation lasts until you can get a good grip on your WIP (hey, that rhymes! I could have been a poet...).

And don't try those contortions at home.

I performed surgery in a dream and cut someone's hair--neither of which I can actually do. Since I was also well aware that both activities held the potential for slaughter, I was on eggshells the entire time. Flight dreams are so much better!

Welcome back! Glad your vacation was so awesome and that you can walk (like and Egyptian) again. :) Now I will have that song in my head all day!

I often can speak foreign languages fluently in my dreams and that is something I wold love to be able to do. Dreams are so fascinating! I also feel I know the secret to flying in my dreams- but I can never quite remember when I wake up! Ugh.

Great to have you back.... For some reason, most of my dreams are filled with ghosts and spirits in my house... not idea why... always freaks me out.

It's so nice to have you back, Lexa! Good luck with your WIP. I hope you don't have too much stress, especially after being able to relax and unwind.
When I was little, I used to dream I could fly. I think those were my favorite dreams.

Welcome back! In my dreams I can slide instead of walking - it's a bit like skiing but without the snow and I can do it uphill too! :-)

Glad you're back! I'm glad it was a productive vacay. :)

I wish my ability to fly in certain dreams would translate into a real-life superpower. Wouldn't that be cool? When I was a kid, I really thought that if I needed it enough, it would be possible.

Welcome back! (Says I, who've only returned to blogging as of yesterday.)

I dream a ton of weird things, but I can't really think of something I dreamed of that I wish I could do while awake.

Guess it's because I usually put those sorts of dreams into my stories. :-D

Welcome back Lexa, glad you had a good holiday.
It's a bit (okay, maybe a quite a bit) cliche, but I really wish I could fly. Another thing I did once in my dreams was walk through stuff (phasing?) and I reckon that would be an awesome ability to have in real life.

Welcome back! Just in case you were wondering, I missed you. You'll have to miss me in November. I'm off for a few weeks to clear my head. No. Let me rephrase that... to find myself. I got lost sometime last year and am wondering where I went.

When I dream of anything I do well, it's flying. Yep. I fly like Maverick in top gun, only without a jet. You'd be impressed. Truly.

LD Masterson said...

Well, you were back before me but I'm catching up.

In my dreams, I'm tall and slender and a great runner. Unfortunately, when I wake up, I'm still semi-short, overweight, and had to giving up even jogging because of bad knees. *sigh*
