Celebrate: Cloaked in Blood & Lots of Giveaways!

This week I'm celebrating:
1) Publisher edits on BLOODWALKER were completed last week, but could I leave well enough alone?  No.  Especially when the publisher told me to do a final read through and revise anything I wanted to.  (It's writers' little secret that they'd never stop editing if they could. Never!!) So 5 days later, I finished my edits. ...need sleep...
2) Hubby was sick all week, so guess who had to go shopping, get medicine, and do all the chores and cooking?  But now he's on the mend, and I should get some help soon.  :)
3) I'm so proud of my fabulous CP, T.F. Walsh, who has just released the 3rd novel in her Wulfkin Legacy series. Woohoo!

Cloaked in Blood  by T.F. Walsh
(The Wulfkin Legacy #3)
Published by: Crimson Romance
Publication date: May 9th 2016
Genres: Adult, Paranormal
Synopsis:
The daughter of a sultan alpha, Selena Kurt agrees to an arranged wulfkin mating to protect her sister from a dangerous alpha from the enemy clan. To her surprise, her match is Marcin Ulf, the next in line for the Hungarian throne . . . and the wulfkin who broke her heart years ago.
Marcin is just as shocked to learn he'll be matched to the enemy's daughter and the woman he's never forgotten. Before they can be paired, however, they're drawn into a tournament where Marcin will compete to free his estranged imprisoned brother, while Selena battles for the life of another wulfkin alpha. Both intend to seize this chance to save those they're fighting for - even if it means facing off with one another just as their romance rekindles.
Will tribe loyalty triumph, or will they realize they're better off as a team before it's too late?

Super excited to be on your blog.. thank you for being so amazing:)

Huge congrats on getting your edits completed. I bet it feels so good.

Ack! I have a tendency to keep editing and editing until I'm sick of the thing, then I submit it! And if it's accepted, it gets editedsome more, of course. There's always something I didn't notice and maybe just as well when someone else does; I've had stuff that I didn't notice - and neither did my publishers! - till AFTER it was published!

Yay for finishing edits! And congrats to Tania on her new release.

Lexa, I totally agree with you about never feeling our mss are edited enough. I could go on for years. So glad you finally finished!!! Sorry to hear of your hubby sickness, but glad he's getting better. Have a nice weekend.

Congrats to T.F.!

Awesome the edits are done! Between that and your husband feeling better, you'll get to enjoy the weekend.
Big congratulations to TF.

Yes, it is always hard to stop the editing. Glad yours is done. And awesome that your husband is feeling better and can help.

Congrats to TF on her book.

As I go through my current manuscript before resubmitting to my agent, I'm finding a few places where I made at times substantial changes right before sending it to her--places that make me scratch my head and say WTF??? Tinkering is one thing; be careful about going overboard!

That pup looks the way i feel! Glad your husband is on the mend.

Congrats to the last round of edits! Editing monsters are the worst.

Cloaked has a hot cover.

Congrats to Walsh on her latest book. Checked her out and decided to get the Cloaked prequel. It was priced at a steal and I'm intrigued to how the introduction will go for this series. Thanks for having her over Lexa. Love the tired dog pic and quote. Good that husband is on the mend and edits are going well. Enjoy your weekend!

Congratulations to T. F. Sounds intriguing, and what a cover.
Sorry your husband's been sick. Hope he's all well now.
Ha, ha. I had to laugh about your edits. I did the same thing with my story. Sometimes it's best to just let go. :)

Congrats on finally wrapping up your edits! I can relate to the urge to edit forever, especially when it comes to my artwork, LOL. Hope you get the sleep you need this weekend!

Ha, ha, I'm like that, too. That's part of why it's taking me so long to get Book 2 out. I can't stop editing. Sorry to hear that your husband was sick. I'm glad he's feeling better now. Congrats to T.F.!

Did not manage to do 'Celebrate'--- had to care for sick kittens, plus my niece was getting married the next day. Beautiful outdoor wedding, only snowed a little.

Lexa, was so glad to see at least SOMEONE on the planet was getting stuff done. I hope one of these days to start doing that more often myself. ;)

It's hard not to tweak things, isn't it? Right now I'm in the procrastination mode and not sending a manuscript that's supposed to be done. If I send it to my agent, I won't be able to "play" with it for a while. Can I do that? Can I let give this story a rest?

Congrats again to T.F.

Lots of good free stuff! Thanks for posting it as always.

Congrats on completing your edits, Lexa. Great stuff!! Congratulations to TF! Great post. Thanks for sharing all the wonderful news!

Congratulations on getting the edits done! Editing is a lot of work. You deserve some time to rest and relax.

I totally understand your #1! I did the same thing, and I did it during copy edits. I decided to add a new threat throughout the entire story. Am I stupid or what??? But I truly believe it made the story more cohesive and answered future questions (this will become a middle grade series) that will come up. YAY for you!

Grats, T.F.!

Woot for getting your edits done...again, Lexa. Hope your hubby is doing better!

alexia said...

You are SO right about the editing thing... which is definitely even more hard if you're your own publisher! LOL.

I'm so stoked for Tania, too!!

Crystal Collier said...

Ooh! Are you ready for all the insanity of release time? (Are we ever?)

Yay for Cloaked in Blood! It's made a strong appearance on the web this month.

Misha Gerrick said...

That's the one thing I miss now that I'm self publishing. I no longer have someone who can pry the manuscript from my hands and tell me I'm done with edits.

Dianne K. Salerni said...

Edits are never done!

I used to avoid reading my published works so as not to see anything I want to change. But occasionally I get asked to READ ALOUD from my books.

I end up wanting to whip out a pencil and make changes ...
