Celebrate the Small Things

This week I'm celebrating:
1)  I can comment on WordPress blogs again!  For almost a week, Wordpress refused to let me comment, refused to recognize my acct, and wouldn't let me open a new acct. But yesterday all of a sudden, it recognized me again. I have no idea why it changed.  Must be internet fairies sprinkling magic dust over my net connections ...
2)  I really enjoyed the Insecure Writers Support Group hop on Wednesday.  It's so good to hear about other writers who're experiencing the same doubts and fears I am. IWSG always makes me feel better.  :)
3)  I'm glad to see there've been a bunch of people entering my October Frights hop giveaway!  The giveaway runs through Sunday, so there's still time to enter. If you want a chance to win my novel and 3 short stories, just click on the link at the top and enter the rafflecopter!

Are you participating in the IWSG hop?  What's your favorite part of it?  Venting about your worries?  Reading about others' insecurities?  Getting or giving advice?

My kind and wonderful co-hosts of Celebrate the Small Things are:
L.G. Keltner @ Writing Off The Edge
Tonja Drecker @ Kidbits Blog

Yay! I actually squeezed out a post for the "Celebrate" blog hop. Sorry about my absence, but my hands have been full with my son's accident. It will get back to normal some day!

Glad to hear the internet fairies have visited and you can comment again. Happy weekend :)

The internet fairies are capricious and weird, but we have to love them.... It's good to know you're not alone with all the crap. That's why these blog hops are so valuable.

Glad you got your WordPress powers back--have a great weekend!

I love IWSG, it really does help when you're feeling insecure about your writing. It's nice to know we're not alone :)

Awesome you have Wordpress access again!

I need to visit Mythical Books blog.

So glad wordpress is working again for you!

Yay to the net being nice to you again!
IWSG is amazing. Can't imagine where I'd go with all those thoughts, insecurities and stuff without it.

So many great things to celebrate! Glad WordPress finally stopped being so finicky for you! (For now, at least. LOL.) Hurray for internet fairies! ;)

While it's great the Wordpres situation corrected itself, I'm sure it's frustrating not knowing how it happened. My computer will mess up and all my husband has to do it touch it and it miraculously fixes itself. And I have no idea how!

Yay for internet fairies! It's awesome when they work FOR you. Have a great weekend!

Love the idea of internet fairies. Glad Wordpress is working for you again. IWSG is a wonderful resource for helpful information and advice. As a support group, you can't beat it. Enjoy your weekend!

Trying to enter the giveaway but I'm not seeing how to. Any help?

I know several people who have had problems with Wordpress. Glad it's now working for you.

Hooray for access again! The fact is, even the people who run the equipment don't know why it malfunctions like that sometimes, i'm sure. They pretend to, with long sounding words that make you think they have it all in hand, but they are really just turning it off and turning it back on again like we do and hoping the best!

Yay for internet fairies and thank you so much for arranging giveaways. HOpe the coming weekend is amazing for you.

Thank goodness for those internet fairies. It must have been so frustrating for you. It is definitely comforting knowing that other writers have similar insecurities, but make things work. Have a great weekend.

I've had trouble commenting on Wordpress blogs in the past. Have a great weekend!

Ii'm so glad that you can easily comment on Wordpress blogs again. I, like you, like hearing about other writer's doubts on the IWSG bloghop. It makes me realize that I'm not only in ping-pounding emotions about my writing.

Cathy Kennedy said...

Lex, I had issues with my blog for nearly a week, too. Comments disappeared, I couldn't comment on the comments, and at times my URL couldn't be found. It turned out the culprit had to do with upgrading to the newest WP version that caused things to go haywire. I'm just happy to be back again. This is my first time in awhile to celebrate with y'all. If you want to stop by, then I'd love to each and everyone of you!
Have an awesome weekend,
Curious as a Cathy

Wordpress did the exact same thing to me. I wonder why. But it's okay this week. Knock on wood. There are so many awesome book covers. Very reassuring that it will always be that way, artists will come up with better and better covers.

so glad you (or the fairies!) worked it out :) and I love following along with IWSG posts. I find myself constantly feeling the exact same way, and it's such an amazing thing to not feel lonely with our thoughts in this biz!

Have you tried commenting on my blog again?
Still not working?

Those internet fairies are real. One day you can't do something and the next day you can. It's always great to read IWSG posts and relate to them in a big way.

Good to hear that everything's back to normal again.

I hope you had a great weekend ♥

Sometimes Wordpress and Tumbler annoy me. I can comment on some and not on others. I love it when technology wants to play nice!
You feature some many awesome things on your blog, no wonder everyone wants to sign-up!

TBM said...

Yippie! The Internet fairies have actually done some good. Thanks so much for plugging my giveaway and best of luck with yours.

Jay Noel said...

Weird how you couldn't comment on WP blogs.

I love IWSG too. It's comforting to get positive feedback when I"m sharing how insecure I'm feeling.

I love connecting with the other authors in IWSG. It's a fantastic community. I always feel better afterwards too.
