Friends

I tried hard to come up with something I accomplished this week, something to celebrate, but couldn't come up with a single thing.
*grumble, gripe, growl*

Then I realized all my friends deserve a medal for putting up with me.  They not only listen to my moaning and complaining, but they patiently sympathize and even spend valuable time from their day trying to cheer me up.  No matter what quantity of poop is raining on my head, they unfurl a big umbrella over me and make everything bearable.

Thanks to all my helpful and supportive friends.
You make my life better and brighter.
I don't know what I'd do without you.

This post is part of VikLit's blog hop, Celebrate the Small Things. To be part of this blog hop, all you have to do is follow the link and put your name on the Mr.Linky list, and then be sure to post every Friday about something you're grateful  for that week.  It can be about writing or family or school or general life.  This is the funnest and easiest blog hop ever!

This reminds me of the quote from the movie "It's a Wonderful Life"...."Remember, no man (or woman) is a failure who has friends" :)

I certainly would give my friends medals if I had any. I would bribe them with anything...cookies, teddy bears, etc etc. If people knew about this, they might come around just to get free cookies. Welp, I guess they know about it know if they are reading this. Let's see if I get any "cookie friends."

I need to add a new "I am thankful for" to my Celebrate the Small Things list. I am grateful that Lexa stopped at my blog! This is where my little secret Egyptologist's heart wants to roam! Thanks for finding my blog, Lexa so I could find yours! I hope we can get to know each other more! :D

It is good to know that no matter how horrible you think you may be, there are friends and family who are always there for you until you can get back to normalcy.

You're right Lexa, small things in life are the best....like spring...if only she should come already.

Glad to know you've got friends you can count on to throw that umbrella up over your head!

And you know what I've been startled to realize lately? Some of my closest friends are people I have not (yeet) met in person. Whenever I have something to share -- good or bad -- I often email these people before I share with the people I actually know in person.

The internet is a wonderful thing!

I love the picture! I feel like people put up with me, too. Especially Husband. It isn't easy being married to a writer. Especially one on deadline.

aaawww...this was really sweet. It's nice to see you again, Lexa! I took a hiatus from blogging, but I'm back. This is Tamara btw (from One Magic Bean Buyer) Just wanted to stop by and say hello, and tell you I'm back online.Me and my friend Karen are running a new blog together, that's why you'll see me commenting/following under the name Karen Tamara. :)

Anyway, sorry you had a rough week, but I adore the picture you posted. I used to have a beautiful houndog. Indy. He died last year, but he looked a lot like the dog in your picture. Brought back happy memories! Again, very nice to "see" you again. I'll definitely be back.
