I didn't pick up on that one until adulthood many years after the kids came along. The Carol Burnett Show is probably the most fun, memorable series from my youth. It always left me in stitches! I didn't discover the MTM Show till a few years ago. The Odd Couple STILL makes me laugh; I think those two were the definitive Felix and Oscar. Star Trek and Dr Who were my childhood favourites and I still watch both on DVD. I watched Lost In Space, though when I discovered Star Trek I gave a sigh of relief at finding something more adult than LIS. Only in recent years have I come to quite like LIS, for its sheer over-the-top qualities, its unexpected guest stars such as Michael Rennie and Michael Ansara and Stanley Adams, who would appear in Star Trek. And the music was composed by a certain "Johnny" Williams... Yes, THAT John Williams! I don't hear a lot about these stars from my younger years until they die.
